Christopher W. Ewing

President and Chief Executive Officer

Chris Ewing is the President and Chief Executive Officer of One, Inc., overseeing all business operations and the strategic direction of the company.

He has significant insurance operational experience, including serving as the President and CEO of Stonewood Insurance Services, Inc., a non-standard auto insurance general agency in California from 2006 to January 2012. From 2003 to 2008, Mr. Ewing was the CTO and General Counsel of Cost-U-Less insurance center and was the President and CEO of Keenan Holdings, Inc. from 2004 to 2012. He was also a co-founder of ClearSide General Insurance Services, LLC, a California auto insurance general agency that was acquired in December 2012 by GMAC Insurance. In addition to his insurance and insurance technology experience, Mr. Ewing was a co-founder and the President and CEO of Shari’s Berries from 1998-2003.

Mr. Ewing received his Bachelor of Business Administration from UC Riverside and his Juris Doctor from the McGeorge School of Law.

Tim Tyannikov

Chief Operating Officer

Tim Tyannikov has been the Chief Operating Officer of One, Inc. since the company was founded. Tim has a distinguished technology and executive management background and is a Microsoft Certified Professional and a Microsoft Certified Developer.

Prior to joining One, Inc. he held various development positions at Active Networks, Inc., the leading online community for people who want to register for and participate in activities. From 1997 to January 2004, Tim was the CIO of Cost‐U‐Less, and from 1994 to 1997 Mr. Tyannikov held various programming positions at Standard Registry, a financial printing system.

Tim has also been the President of Slavic Camping Association, an association devoted to the development of teens through education and camping activities.

Jera Shive

Chief Financial Officer

Jera is Chief Financial Officer at One, Inc , where she oversees the company's financial planning, and management reporting.

Prior to One, Inc, Jera spent over 10 years in leadership roles in Operations, Acquisitions and Finance at Duck Creek. Jera led numerous initiatives enabling the company to grow quickly and oversaw the finance and accounting function, budgeting, forecasting, cash management and financial reporting. In 2010, she managed the acquisition of a wholly-owned European subsidiary, Duck Creek Europe. Additionally, Jera provided key leadership in the acquisition of Duck Creek by Accenture, managing the due diligence team for Duck Creek and integrating the operations of Duck Creek into the Accenture systems during the first year.

Kevin Ostrander​

Vice President, Sales

As Vice President of Sales, Kevin is responsible for leading sales and revenue generation activities at One, Inc. with a focus on managing a high performing, global sales and operations team.

Prior to joining One, Inc. Kevin served as Director of Sales at Thunderhead (acquired by Accel-KKR) spending six years within their Insurance practice focused on providing enterprise solutions to carriers transforming operations through digital engagement. In addition to direct sales activities he was responsible for the creation and roll out of the organizations indirect revenue channel and first global reseller agreement which was replicated across Insurance core solution providers. He has also held sales leadership positions at 170 Systems (acquired by Kofax).

Kevin has a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Bentley University.

Pete Espinosa

VP Global Business Development​

Pete brings over 30 years of technology sales and senior level management experience to One, Inc. He will focus on growth initiatives, including strategic partnerships and marketing.

Pete was most recently at CSC where he was Vice President and General Manager Global Business Solutions. At CSC he was responsible for $4B in annual sales and included the Insurance, Banking, Healthcare, Consulting, and Applications businesses. Prior to CSC Pete spent almost 5 years as Global Head of Sales for Guidewire Software where he helped build the global sales team and grew Guidewire ​from a small niche P&C Software provider to a global leader in core insurance software, culminating with a successful IPO in 2012. Pete has also held SVP Sales positions at Retek and Vignette, and is a former executive at IBM, where he held a variety of sales and executive leadership positions reporting to IBM Chairman/CEO LV Gerstner Jr.​​

Melinda Burnett

Vice President, Sales Operations & Field Support

Melinda Burnett is the Vice President, Sales Operations & Field Support, for One, Inc., and is responsible for the overall Sales Operations management for the product suite. She plays a key role in business operations strategy, pipeline and forecast management, lead generation, and sales process execution.

Her background includes more than 10 years in the P&C insurance technology industry, focusing on sales strategy for commercial, personal, and specialty lines suite products for large insurance carriers and MGAs. Her latest position being Global Sales Operation Lead in charge of the US and Worldwide sales operations management at Accenture Software, formally Duck Creek Technologies, before joining One, Inc. in 2015. Melinda holds a BA in Business Administration.

Mark Hsu

Board Member | H&Q Asia Pacific

Mark Hsu is a Managing Director at H&Q Asia Pacific, bringing more than 14 years of investment experiences in Silicon Valley and Asia to the firm. Prior to joining H&QAP in 2001, Mr. Hsu was Director of Business Development for Sina.com. From 1997 to 1999, he was an attorney with Simpson Thacher & Bartlett where he focused on securities and M&A transactions, principally working with The Blackstone Group. Mr. Hsu was also founding Vice Chair of the Asian Pacific Islander American Leadership Council at the Democratic National Committee in 2004.

Mr. Hsu received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at Los Angeles and his Juris Doctor from Columbia University.

Robert Shen

Board Member | H&Q Asia Pacific

Dr. Robert Shen joined H&Q Asia Pacific in 2001 as a Managing Director, and has more than 14 years of investment experiences in Silicon Valley and Asia with entrepreneur background. Prior to H&QAP, Dr. Shen founded Enable Semi in 1995, which was sold to Lucent Technology in 1998. He was then the General Manager of Lucent‘s Telecom/Optical division. Additionally, Dr. Shen was President of 8x8, a VOIP and Video Compression company, Wafer Fab Director for VLSI Technology, and an IC Design/Product Manager for TI.

Dr. Shen received his Doctor of Electrical Engineering from SMU, Texas, Master of Electrical Engineering from Marquette University, Wisconsin and Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from National Cheng Kung.

Robert Claassen

Board Member | Camp One Ventures, LLC

Robert Claassen is a founding partner at Camp One Ventures, LLC, a Palo Alto, California based venture capital firm. Mr. Claassan managed the Silicon Valley corporate practice for Paul Hastings Janofsky & Walker. Prior to that was a senior partner at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati where he was co-chair of their Capital Markets group.

Mr. Claassen holds a B.S. in Mathematical Economics and a J.D. order of the coif from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

Imran Akram

Board Member | AXA Strategic Ventures

Prior to AXA Strategic Ventures, Imran was a London based Partner at DN Capital leading investments including Auto1 (used car marketplace) and Quandoo (restaurant reservations). His current and prior portfolio includes GoodData (SaaS BI), Currencyfair.com (foreign exchange), Wahanda (wellness marketplace), Innogames (online gaming and mobile gaming) and GlobalCollect (online payments).

Imran received a First class degree in Engineering, Economics and Management from Christ Church, Oxford. He started working in Citigroup's European Securitization team, structuring financing for KKR's buyout of Tenovis, then did strategy consulting including commercial due diligence with Bain & Company in the London and Johannesburg offices. His private equity investment career started with General Atlantic, and then he was part of the team that launched mid-market growth equity firm Fidelity Growth Partners Europe before joining DN Capital for their third fund.

Alex Scherbakovsky

Board Member | AXA Strategic Ventures

Prior to AXA Strategic Ventures, Alex was a Principal at New Enterprise Associates, where his investments included Braintree (online and mobile payments) and Box (enterprise collaboration SaaS). Previously, Alex invested in enterprise software, fintech and Internet companies at Silver Lake, 3i and FTV Capital, where his portfolio included Trustwave (security SaaS), Coremetrics (web analytics SaaS) and Actimize (risk management software).

Prior to becoming an investor, Alex held operating roles at Microsoft and Trilogy, and was a management consultant at Monitor Group. Alex graduated with Distinction from Stanford with an MS in Engineering and AB in Economics, and received an MBA from Harvard, where he was named a Baker Scholar.​

Eric Byunn

Board Member | Centana Growth

Eric Byunn founded Centana Growth in 2015 and is one of its Partners. Before founding Centana Growth, Eric spent over 20 years in growth equity and technology. Eric currently serves on the Boards of Blueprint Systems, Jumio, Vena, Catalyst Repository Systems and Cloudmark. He previously led investments in companies including Centro, Coremetrics (acquired by IBM), Covario (acquired by Dentsu Aegis Network), GMI (acquired by WPP), KVS (acquired by Veritas), MarketShare Partners (acquired by Neustar), PSS Systems (acquired by IBM), Sourcecode/K2, and Varicent (acquired by IBM). Eric spent 13 years at FTV Capital, a $ 2 billion growth equity fund, where he was a partner, served on the management committee, and led investments in enterprise technology. Prior to FTV, Eric served as Director of Online Services at myCFO, a startup wealth management firm. He held several positions at Netscape/AOL, including management of Netscape’s Personal Finance Channel and product management for the Netscape Navigator browser. He also has worked at Microsoft and McKinsey & Company. He received an AB summa cum laude in economics with additional focus in computer science from Harvard College and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar. Eric is also a CFA Charterholder.

Josh Aycock

Board Observer | American Family Ventures

Josh Aycock is a Principal and founding member at American Family Ventures, the venture capital arm of Fortune 500 property and casualty insurer American Family Insurance, where he is focused on sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities, structuring deals, and supporting the firm’s portfolio companies. Josh currently serves on the Boards of Cozy; Hover; One, Inc.; and XOR Data Exchange. Prior to joining AFV in 2013, he worked for several years in health tech and disaster response, as well as in product roles at various startups. He holds an AB from Washington University in St. Louis, and an MBA and an MS in human-computer interaction from the University of Michigan.

Doug Russell

Board Observer | MassMutual Ventures

Mr. Russell has served as Managing Director of MassMutual Ventures, since its formation in July, 2014. Prior to that, he also served as Senior Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development from 2009 to 2017. Mr. Russell joined MassMutual in 2007, as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating and Chief Financial Officer for the company’s Retirement Income unit, and has 30 years of broadly diversified experience in the financial services industry.

Prior to MassMutual, Mr. Russell was Senior Vice President and Head of Client Services for Prudential Retirement, a post he held from 2004 through the firm’s acquisition of CIGNA’s Retirement and Investment Services business, which he joined in 2001 as Senior Vice President in its Corporate Insurance unit. Mr. Russell, from 1995-2001, was with Aetna Inc./ING Financial Services, primarily with the company’s Aetna International, Inc., business, including more than two years as its CFO, and three years as the CEO overseeing Aetna Philippines in Manila.

Mr. Russell received his Bachelor of Arts in economics from Brown University, and earned his Master of Business Administration from the Tuck School at Dartmouth College.
